Having 5 years of experience as Oracle Database Administrator for various versions 10g/11g and Oracle 10g Certified Professional .
Currently Working with TCS which is a Financial Domain Project.
Current Project is giving Production Support for 11g/10g databases with RAC env.
Handling 4000+ databases including both PROD and NON-PROD, which includes DR & RAC environment.
Production Databases varies from 300GB to 10 TB,
we are using HPSM ticketing tool.
Once I enter my shift I will check my mails and also the ticketing tool for any pending or assigned or new tickets and will start working on them. In the mean while any alert mail/request mail comes from the team, I will work on them.
At the end of my shift I will update the portal & also will send the mail to the group with the ticketing status.
Working on assigned incidents and resolving as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
As an Oracle DBA,
Involved in the areas of Oracle SW installation, Creation, Configuration, Maintenance, Production Support, Patching, Upgradation, Cloning, Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery and Space Management and Troubleshooting.
We already have setup of OEM and 3rd Party TIVOLI for the alerts and also we scheduled the RMAN Backup Jobs which will take incremental backups in the weekdays & Complete backup on every Saturday Night.
Apart from this regular monitoring work we deploy some customized scripts and we apply Database Patches.We do bouncing, refreshing, cloning of the databases and also involved in DB Upgradation from 10g/11
